Kettering Town FC have unveiled an ambitious plan to move back into the Borough with the targeted location being the site of the now closed Avondale Schools.

The transfer of Ross Oulton from Daventry Town was confirmed and goalkeeper Nick Bennion from St Ives also comes to the Poppies as Alastair Worby is unsure of his availability for the coming season due to work commitments.



Sid Chapman passes away after long illness

Poppies Club President Sid Chapman has passed away after a long illness. Sid was a life-long Poppies fan and has been associated with the Poppies in some way or another for many decades, including a long spell as groundsman at Rockingham Rd.



Solkhon returns to Poppies

Former Poppy Brett Solkhon has agreed non-contract terms with Kettering Town for the coming season.



Poppies bring in Osei-Sirbour

Kettering Town have registered 22 year old forward Andrew Osei-Siribour from Arlesey Town. He goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s home fixture against Royston Town.



Poppies sign new striker – Dubi Ogbonna

Dubi Ogbonna Kettering Town have signed striker Dubi Ogbonna from from fellow Division One outfit St Ives Town.



Winding up petition officially dismissed

According to the official announcement on the club website, “… the winding up petition originally brought by HMR&C and taken over by Rushden and Diamonds 2008 Limited, has today been dismissed following full payment having been made.”



Cross out, Hull in at Poppies

Striker Scott Cross, who made his debut and scored a goal for the Poppies in the 2-1 defeat at AFC Hayes has re-signed for Daventry Town, while Kettering have signed central defender/midfielder Tommy Hull from Barton Rovers.



Poppies appeal successful, winding up order rescinded

The long history of Kettering Town Football Club looks like its set to continue following the successful appeal of the winding up order in the High Court today.



Poppies are given appeal date, continue in meantime

A statement from the club: “Kettering Town F C Management Limited was successful in its request to appeal the winding up order made last week, and an appeal date has been set for 7th October.
