A tough trip for Kettering Town as they travel to main title rivals and current leaders Stourbridge and they need to shake off all the recent issues and put in a performance that matches their early part of the season to get the title challenge back on track.

A nip and tuck first 45 minutes left the scoreline goaless with neither time able to provide that vital finishing touch when it mattered.

Half-time: &nbs; Stourbridge 0   Kettering Town 9

The second half went much the way of the first until the the 75th minute when the home side got the breakthrough to open the scoring courtesy of Leon Broadhurst. Kettering battled away working hard to try and get an equaliser and finally were rewarded in the 85th minute when Brett Solkhon scored the goal that pulled the Poppies back on level terms at 1-1.

The match was in stoppage time and looking to all intents and purpose as ending honours even when a superb free-kick from Tom Knowles won the match for Kettering to the delight of a strong traveling faithful. The result was a tremendous boost to the Poppies stuttering title challenge and saw them regain their place at the top of the table going two points clear of Stourbridge with two games still in-hand.
