Then there were six (soon to be five)

FA Trophy roundup

When the draw took place on Monday for the 4th Round of the FA Trophy there should have been 32 teams left in, but there are nearly always guaranteed to be several unresolved ties and this stage was no exception with 10 ties still to be resolved, leaving 42 teams still in contention.
Of those 42 teams left in, only eight teams hail from the Conference North and three of those eight will be eliminated after the replays for the Third Round have been completed this week. The Fourth Round ties were not particularly kind to the Conference North teams, with two of them, namely Altrincham and Barrow, being draw against each other and the remaining three (after the replays) will face Conference National opposition.
The winners of the Kettering Town / Alfreton Town and Vauxhall Motors / Lancaster City replays will be home to Woking and Morecambe respectively, while the winners of the Southport / Hucknall Town replay will be away to Northwich Victoria in the 4th Round of the FA Trophy competition.
