November 25, 2009—
Squad changes usually happen after a change in management and at Kettering it was inevitable that once Mark Cooper had settled-in at Peterborough and Lee Harper had got a couple of matches under his belt in charge of the Poppies the revolving door would start spinning.
Cooper wasted no time in coming back to his former club to bring Exodus Geohaghon to the Posh, the Poppies defender/midfielder has signed initially on loan 'with a view to a permanent move in January' with the two clubs already agreeing a fee.
Geohaghon started as a trainee at West Bromwich Albion, had spells with Sutton Coldfield and Bromsgrove Rovers before joining Redditch Utd in 2006. He has been at Kettering since signing from Redditch in 2008.
Poppies Forward Francis Green has gone to current table toppers Oxford Utd on loan 'until a longer deal is agreed'. Harper commented; "I did everything I could do to keep Francis here, but he made it clear he wanted to play for Oxford."
In the opposite direction comes forward Marcus Kelly who has made only three appearances in his time at the Kassam Stadium and will be on loan until a longer deal is agreed.
Harper has also hinted at hanging up his goalkeeping boots to concentrate more on the management side of the Poppies; "Things might change with me in the next few weeks, I may have to hang my boots up and do the [management] job properly. The likelihood is that it won't be until December, but it's under consideration."
