Conference confirms Kettering's status

March 24, 2009—

An announcement by the club has confirmed that the Conference have accepted Kettering Town's status as having 'security of tenure', meaning they will not be demoted from the Conference Premier as speculated in recent weeks.

Also, if Kettering make the play-offs, and then win through to gain promotion to the Football League, their application should be considered as any other team that has proven security of tenure'.

From the official website; "Kettering Town Football Club has privately demonstrated its long term security of tenure, to both the Conference Board and Football League and will make a detailed public statement about our long term future in the not too distant future; ideally during the current playing season, but certainly prior to commencing the 2009/10 season.
