Christie departs Poppies, joins Torquay Utd

Iyseden Christie has joined Torquay Utd on a contract until the end of the season as controversy surrounds his recent departure from Rockingham Road.

Christie had been on loan at Kettering Town for the better part of this season from Stevenage Borough, until the Poppies striker returned to Broadhall Way last week. Stevenage allege that Kettering had signed a five-figure contract for Christie until the striker turned down the deal on personal terms.

Christie joined the Poppies on loan last September and made 19 appearance scoring six goals, but his playing time has decreased of late with Kettering Town manager Mark Cooper rotating him in attack along with Gareth Seddon and recent signing Jason Lee.
