Poor Poppies routed at home by Moor Green
Kettering Town 0
Moor Green 3 Morrison 2 Dowdall 43 Scott 68
Kettering Town manager Kevin Wilson made just one change to the starting lineup from Saturday, bringing Jamie Patterson into midfield with Hugh McAuley moving to the bench. Anthony Elding, Jermaine Palmer and Ryan Zico-Black again all started on a very frozen looking pitch.
Kettering got off to the worst possible start when they conceded a goal after only 2 minutes as Dave Morrison put Moor Green 1-0 up. Matters only got worse before half-time when the visitors scored a second through Sean Dowdall on 43 minutes and Kettering went into the dressing room trailing 2-0 at the break.
The second-half brought no comfort for the poor frozen Poppies supporters as they watched in utter dismay when Moor Green took a 3-0 lead through Richard Scott on 68 minutes.
Kettering just couldn't muster a response during the 90 minutes and at the final whistle it was a bitterly disappointing result on a bitterly cold night as Kettering lost 3-0.
