Poppies slump to third league defeat in-a-row
Bognor Regis Town 1 Kettering Town 0
No goals in the first 45 minutes on the South Coast as the home side got off to a bright start and Kettering slowly came more into the game before the half-time break.
The second-half saw much of the same until another sadly characteristic mistake by the Poppies defence saw the home side take the lead. Kettering's chances of a comeback appeared slim as the attack struggled to find a breakthrough and at the final whistle Kettering slumped to their third league defeat in-a-row.

Poppies through in Trophy replay
 FA Trophy 3rd Round Replay:
Woking 2 Kettering Town 3
An impressive display by Kettering Town saw them edge out Conference side Woking by the narrowest of margins at Kingfield, but the scoreline doesn't really do justice to a quality performance by the Poppies players. Boss Kevin Wilson was quoted as, quite rightly, being "proud of his players" and summed up the night's action, "It is a fantastic result and a great night for the club".

Lynch signs for Kettering
Or should that read 'Lynch signs for Wilson', well whatever, the outcome is that Darren Lynch has now followed Kevin Wilson to Rockingham Road and the club announced that the former Eagles and Ducks' striker has officially signed for Kettering Town.
Poppies supporters will not be surprised to hear that there is no mention of what type of contract he has signed or if there was any fee involved. Kettering tried to sign Lynch back in early October last year, before his move from the Eagles to the Ducks, but at the time the striker decided against the move to Rockingham Road.
After joining Bedford from Newport Pagnell in October 2002, Lynch was signed by the Ducks from Bedford for a transfer fee of £5,000 back in early November 2003 and scored 9 league goals for the Eagles. In his 11 appearances for Aylesbury Utd he scored 6 goals, 2 over the two ties with Gray's Athletic in the Trophy, a hat-trick in the Ducks' 3-2 win over Ford Utd and the other in the 2-2 draw at Rockinghan Road in early December 2003.

Poppies hammered at Bishop's
Bishop's Stortford 4 Kettering Town 1
New manager Kevin Wilson received a swift reminder that there's still plenty of work to be done if Kettering are to finish in a respectable position at the end of this season. Their first away defeat in seven league matches could hardly have come at a worse time with the visit of Conference club Woking to Rockingham Road on Saturday for the FA Trophy 3rd Round tie.
