Conference North 2004-07

Kettering Town joined the newly-formed Conference North following the restructure at the end of the 2003-04 season.

At the end of the 2004-05 season, Kettering lost out in the Conference North play-off final to Altrincham, who were promoted to the Conference National (after winning the North-South play-off final), alongside Conference North champions Southport and Conference South champions Grays Athletic.

At the end of the 2005-06 season, Stafford Rangers won the Conference North play-off final and were promoted to the Conference National alongside Conference North champions Northwich Victoria and Conference South champions Weymouth and South play-off final winners St Albans City. * Leigh RMI were deducted 1pt but escaped relegation due to the ineligibility of a lower league club to be promoted.
