Poppies at Harrogate

Harrogate TownKettering Town travel up the A1 to Wetherby Rd to take on Harrogate Town in the Bank Holiday Monday Conference North fixture.

Currently lying 3rd in the table, Harrogate suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday going down 2-1 at Redditch Utd, ironically it was the Reds first victory this campaign. Danny Holland (who scored all three goals against the Poppies last season) equalised a penalty from Red's Damien Whitcombe before David Walker netted the home side's winner 8 minutes from the end.

Poppies striker Craig Westcarr will be available for Monday's match but is suspended for Saturday's home fixture against Barrow. Doubts still remain over Andy Hall and goalkeeper Mark Osborn, although recent signing David Perpetuini looks to have settled into the starting lineup following Saturday's creditable debut.

Manager Morrell Maison still has problems to address when it comes to the Poppies defence, which has now leaked seven goals in their last three matches. A purple patch midway through the second-half during Saturday's 3-3 draw showed the potential of the Poppies attack, but consistency is the requirement to get the team back on track after slipping into the bottom-half of the table following 1pt from their last three matches.
