Recent performances have left Kettering Town trailing in the wake of current leaders Stourbridge and Tuesday night’s defeat at home to Biggleswade Town was probably one of their worst displays this season. Stourbridge have not only overtaken the Poppies but surged ahead while Kettering have struggled badly in recent outings culminating in Tuesday night’s debacle.

Saturday will be another home game but opponents Royston Town will be no easy run out and Kettering will need to improve substantially to get their title campaign back on track. They still have two games in hand over Stourbridge but they obviously need to win them to make them count and have any chance of a shot at the championship at the end of the season.
